Leadership
Here are some extracts from students who have completed the course and are now running an after school sports/activity session for a local primary school. “I joined the sports leadership course for the wrong reasons. I took it as an opportunity to mess around and have a joke and a laugh. I didn't think that I would learn anything. At the end of the day I just wanted the certificate. After a few weeks I realized that it was actually fun and that I was learning things that I didn't know before.” “I have learnt things on this course that have proved useful in my everyday life. For example, my general communication skills have improved as well as my organizational skills. Now tat we have reached the end of the course I am truly thankful to the school for giving me the opportunity to take the course, and to all the other pupils who have gone with me every week and made it the fun experience that it has been.” “During the course I found out that it was a good thing to do and helped me a lot with my sporting activities. Sports leadership wasn't just about Sports, it was learning to be a leader, and if I had the opportunity to do it all again I would.”
